Choices To Make
Which One Should I Choose?
Have you ever been faced with decisions that you simply dont know how to make? I am talking about decisions regarding your job, and life in general. You made it through your 20’s, and 30’s and now you are here in your 40’s wondering where the heck life just went while it passed you by. I happens so fast, that if you blink you missed it. I know that sounds cliche but it is so true.
Today I wanted to talk about choices you have with your career. You have hit your 40’s and feel you are still not quite where you want to be in life. Is it your fault? Maybe. Is it the economy’s fault? Possibly. No matter who’s fault it is, it ultimately lands in your plate because you are the one that has to deal with it.
Let’s face it, sometimes trying to find your place in life is just hard as can be. Should you continue to be the worker bee, in some corporate office where none of the people making decisions about your livelihood even know your name? Should you try working hard for the local business owner that cant pay you quite as much as the corporate CEO, but he makes up for it by slipping you a few extra bucks or gift cards here and there? Should you try to go at it on you own with no formal training in business? Should you go back to school, and try to get the degree that you didnt want to get right out of high school?
I have found that all of my friends that have money all own their own businesses. Granted most of them came from money and had what I would consider a pretty easy ride to success, but I am sure they were met with some bumps and bruises along the way. Some have brick and mortar stores, some sell online, others simply work virtually. Honestly I have not really ever met anyone that made it big with MLM or other get rich quick schemes, so stay away from those, but if you can find a way to provide a service for someone else, you can probably make it big. WIth the age of the internet, you have your entire city, and the entire world for that matter right at your fingertips. Come up with a service and offer it to people. You will be surprised at different things people are willing to pay other people to do for them. Remember people are lazy. They dont like doing things that cause them to be uncomfortable, so find their pain points and start doing the work for them. Charge a pretty penny and work yourself out of of that corporate 9-5 job and become your own boss.
Here are a list of some fun niches that might just prove to be your way to riches:

I think you get the idea. Come up with a type of service that other people do not necessarily like to do and then set out to do this job for others. You can make boat loads of money. Check out the post on John and how he created a business you probably never though much about.
If you are having a hard time coming up with an idea, just head over to Angie’s List or Thumbtack and see what type of services others are offering. Then go after your passion and start making some money. Next thing you know you find yourself here, enjoying a nice beverage of your choice.
